Check signups in Auth0

A Pre User Registration Action for database and passwordless connections.

Install

  1. Create a LookupDock workspace from this link and verify your email.
  2. Create an API key. In Auth0 Actions, create a Pre User Registration Action and paste integrations/auth0-action/index.js from our repository.
  3. Add the secret LOOKUPDOCK_API_KEY. Optional settings are also Action secrets: ON_BLOCK (deny or flag), ON_REVIEW (flag or allow), TIMEOUT_MS (default 1500; range 250–5000).
  4. Start with ON_BLOCK=flag. Test your own trial and review false positives before enabling deny. A combined check uses up to 3 credits.
  5. Deploy the Action and add it to the Pre User Registration flow.

Policy and limits

Block signals can deny with a friendly message or write app metadata; review signals can flag or allow. Timeout, missing credits and API failures fail open and store a reason in metadata. Social and enterprise logins do not run this trigger. Metadata requires Auth0's api.user.setAppMetadata API. Signals do not prove fraud.

The Action package and fixture tests are available. Auth0 tenant testing and Marketplace approval are still pending; this page does not claim a published Marketplace integration. Live LookupDock suppliers must be enabled before real values can be checked.
